ROCKABYEBABY….
Only 10 days until Cassie drops ROCKABYEBABY, and I for one can not wait! Cassie’s style has been heavily coveted lately, whether its the side shaved hairstyle that only she does so well, the sharp trouser suit which she rocked in the video with her collaboration with Nicki Minaj (which Topshop are ALL OVER atm), or the fact that she made it acceptable for women to wear kicks anywhere other than the gym! (I know when I used to wear my Jordans or Nike Blazers with my usual smart/casual style I used to see females staring at my feet…now they are all wearing them!).
I can’t wait to see what the styling on her new videos are going to be like .
You can also see Cassie looking amazing in the video for The Boys at:
Well I was delighted to see that Illamasqua (one of my fav beauty brands), decided to do an online Easter Hunt offer where they marked down certain best-selling products to 45% OFF…..yes….45%. As you can all imagine, I’ve went alittle crazy, taking full advantage of this AND the free delivery too!
I’ve bought afew items which I’ve never tried before:
-Berber, a rustic coloured metallic pure pigment, which I am planning on using as a blusher.
-Justify, a cool sandy brown shade of powder eye shadow.
-Poke, an ultra violet purple nail varnish.

I also HAD to buy two more full price products which I regularly use and adore, but left at my boyfriends house in the U.S. last time I visited. Radium nail varnish, which is an acidic lime green with a shimmer finish, and Resist, which is a deep rose pink matt lipstick. These are both shades which I have never been able to find anywhere else (the Illamasqua colour swatch for the lipstick is not very accurate), and when I wear either of them people are constantly asking which brand they are.

I placed three separate orders, so I will review the newer lines once all of my products have arrived! I recommend that you head straight over to www.illamasqua.com and place your orders now!
Well I’ve decided that its time I again began sharing my life; loves, hates etc on here! In particular, my focus will again be style, fashion, and as always I’ll throw in some beauty content so I can share my favourite products with you. Afew exciting plans in the pipeline at the moment…in particular, a British menswear brand in London who have requested that I style their new lookbook…. watch this space!
Here goes…. Welcome back to Reeces World, if your not staying, then close the door on your way out!
Sibling Spring/Summer 2013 Menswear
“No one knows what to say in the loser’s locker room.”
I love so many of the menswear Spring/Summer 2013 collections. The more coverage I see of various shows, the more I’m finding that they really appeal to me as a woman - there are so many pieces which I would love to be made to fit a womans figure. I actually find it difficult to narrow down my favourite outfits/pieces from the Sibling S/S 2013 show entitled “Revolution”. There was gold lurex sportswear, fencing inspired masks, skull & crossbones/rat inspired motifs printed on sweatshirts/basketball style vests, heavily embellished jackets and printed snapbacks all against a predominantly white backdrop. Amazing.

At the moment i am crazy in love with Charlotte Olympia’s quirky designs, and her latest offering (pre-fall 2012) of designs inspired & influenced by Russian Matryoshka dolls are no different. I love alot of elements of Russian culture, so these are two pieces which have particularly caught my eye: Wonderful suede sandals with wooden heel & platform, floral print satin lining/mid-sole detail, and winking Matryoshka doll head featured on vamp of shoe. Also, an amazing wooden clutch bag with magnetic fastening, a Matryoshka doll featured at the top & a removable floral pouch in interior.
These pieces are beautifully crafted and would compliment even the plainest of outfits. Once again, i’m in love.

Well of course I am talking about the Versace A/W Haute Couture show, i’m alittle late to post this…but I was sure that another show would blow my mind as much as this did….which hasnt happened!!! I loved everything about this collection, and to me it was very fitting that the show took place at the Ritz-where Gianni held his couture shoes for eight years. One of the reasons why I love Versace so much is the sexuality which every piece oozes, to me this is the signature Versace look - Sexy, yet classy. Its always easy to identify a Versace piece, and this collection is no different. Classic scarf prints (which I would actually love to get my hands on to create a vintage type head scarf….Erykah Badu style…that would be AMAZING!!), chain mail, and of course the fashion house’s Medusa emblem, combine this with lots of flesh….and you get Versace Autumn/Winter! An interesting choice to use pastels throughout this collection too, since pastels were predominantly used though the Spring/Summer 2012 shows. I predict that alot of these looks will be seen on the red carpet soon.
Everyone knows I’m a huge fan of M.I.A. and her style, so it was nice to see her perched on the front row wearing real vintage Versace. Not one to follow the crowd, she opted for red lips & head to toe in a scarf print get-up…she looked amazing.
Here are afew looks from the collection, including two of my favourite which are the long and short variations of the green print dress, these are gorgeous!!
